Congratulations to the management and playing staff of OBS following their three-nil win over rivals FR Valley Rangers at Crosshaven in the No Sin Second Division league last Friday night which secured the first title success this season with two matches in hand

Rory Buckley sent top scorer Niall O’Brien in for the opener after seventeen minutes. 

After Sean Blake extended the lead in the 67th minute, sub Ross Daly and David Hennessy combined for Daly to net a third with three minutes remaining.

Marlboro Trust 3

Marlboro Trust strengthened their grip on second spot and automatic promotion by accounting for MSL at Mayfield Community School. 

Two goals inside three minutes of the twenty minute mark from Cathal McSweeney and Matheus Iudice De Souza set Trust up for the lead at the break. 

After Jamie Dunlea reduced the deficit in the 52nd minute, sub Colin Marian restored Tom Frawley’s charges two goal advantage with a third three minutes from time.

AL Ukraine 2 

ePower 2

ePower led two nil through an early and later goal in each half from Daragh Bagnell Hartnett and Oisín Berdassa only for AL Ukraine to come storming back with a double from Olesandr Topolnyskyi to rescue a great point.

Pfizer FC 1

An 85th minute strike from sub Gianluca Zuccarelli secured the points for Pfizer FC in the late Sunday night kick-off at Leeside Park.

Here’s Health 1

The visitors went into the contest in pole position on goal difference with The LAB two points behind in fourth. 

Jack Murphy opened the scoring for Here’s Health in the 3rd minute before Matthew Ekhosuehi equalized midways through the first half. 

In a tense final quarter as both teams wrestled for the lead, emotions ran high after sub Eolann Ogundu Treacy edged the hosts in front. 

A flurry of yellow cards resulted with a player from each team red carded before the final whistle.

Abbey Business 5

Abbey Business plunged DCT FC deeper into relegation trouble by winning three-nil at Corinthians Park courtesy of goals from John McLoughlin and Ronan Twomey, two apiece, and Patrick Scully.

The Weigh Inn Dripsey 1 

ISF Ballyphehane Celtic 6

Ballyphehane Celtic leapfrogged The LAB in to top spot after a comfortable win over Dripsey at The Regional Park. 

Shane Keating (2) and an Aaron West penalty gave the hosts a mountain to climb in the second 45. 

Evan Lynch did manage to pull one back for Dripsey in the 55th minute only for player-manager James Corcoran and subs Rob Tier and Wadii Dridi to add further goals for the title contenders.

Sabor Brazil Giants 7 

Cork County Council 1

What Ballyphehane could do, Sabor matched to go level with The LAB on goal difference, both having a match in hand on the leaders. 

A four goal salvo from Marcos Aurelio along with one each from Rafael Felippe Machado and Rafael Barreiro and own goal contributed to Sabor’s total with Emeka Emmanuel Mbudinma on target for Council.

Grandon’s Toyota Premier Division:

Arc Rovers 4 

Helio Inter Cork 4

Helio, needed all three points to close the gap on outright leaders Doolan’s Cow in the live game of the week, raced into a three-nil lead through Ivan Milicevic, Mauricio Barajas Galicia and Juan De Villa inside the opening forty minutes. 

After Jack D’Arcy scored in Rovers’ next attack for Arc, goals from Tyrese Raheem and Kane Murphy tied up the contest by the 75th minute. 

Javier Madrigal Vidal put the visitors ahead again only for home captain Brian Kelly to equalize in the final minute of an absorbing encounter.

Longboats 1 

Martin Harvey Solicitors 6

Harvey’s eased their relegation worries considerable by easing past an understrength at Crosshaven. 

Jake Hawkins and Tomas Sheehan both scored twice along with Ray Delany and sub Ilija Zagorac. Stephen Dwyer scored in the last minute for the home side.

Doolan’s Cow 3

In a pivotal weekend in the destination of the title, Doolan’s Cow increased their lead at the top to require just one point from their final three matches to seal a sixth championship. 

After Tony O’Reilly and Shaun Teegan scored first-half goals, Stephen McCarthy chipped in with a third in added time to preserve the host’s unbeaten record.

DHF Grangevale 1 

Cork Hospitals 3

Cork Hospitals ended the Vale’s outside hopes of landing a first title at Mayfield Park after taking all three points with first-half goals from Richard Bambury and Tadgh Whelan. 

Callum Henchion crossed for Billy Tabb to reduce the deficit in the 49th minute only for Leon Lucey to restored the Hospitals’ two goal advantage on the hour.
