Munster cups take centre stage for youth players this weekend

The Leeds side who are in sparkling form at the moment and are scoring goals for fun in the U19 League 1 by hitting the net a total of 12 times in their opening two game to season.
There’s another full Cork Youth Daly Industrial Supplies fixture list this weekend, however, it’s the Munster FA U17 Cup and JAKO IRELAND Munster Youth Cup games that will take centre stage.
The Munster FA U17 Cup is a new competition, as it is now compulsory to enter your province competition before go into the FAI U17 National Cup competition.
We start with last year’s FAI U17 National Cup finalists, Midleton and they have an away fixture against St Mary’s at Mary’s Park at 2pm.
The Magpies have made a good start to their League campaign with two victories, however, they had to dig deep last Saturday when they had to come from behind to win 3-2 against Kinsale with two late goals from substitutes Patrick Adedokun and Cillian Mansworth-O’Connell.
Elsewhere, Premier League leaders Douglas Hall, who are unbeaten so far this season, must travel to Sheila Flynn Park where they will pit their wits against the host’s Kilworth.
The Hall were on song last weekend when they defeated Passage 5-2 with their goals coming from Vilson Sefolli, Macdarragh Lynch, Mark O’Keeffe and two from Darragh O’Flaherty, however, they should have too much firepower for the U17 League 1A side.
The pick of the other cup ties are the clashes between Premier League side's College Corinthians and Leeds at Corinthians Park, Youghal United entertain Leeside United at Ardath Park and Wilton United, who are flying high in the U17 League 3, and have bagged 14 goals in their two opening League games, will certainly test Premier League side Kinsale when they meet at the Pat Bowdren Park at 10.30am.

In the U19 League 1A, leaders Midleton have a home game against Riverstown at Knockgriffin at 11am.
Last weekend they travelled to Tramore Park and beat the hosts by two goals to nil and they will be looking to goal scorers Tadgh Grimes and Ryan Hally to maintain their good start to the season.
On Sunday, it’s the JAKO IRELAND Munster Youth Cup that dominates the fixture list with holders College Corinthians taking on Park United at Corinthians Park.
Corinthians play in the U18 League 1 this season, but should have too much firepower for the League 2 counterparts.
Elsewhere, there is an all Premier League clash between Leeds and Lakewood Athletic and they will be newly promoted side Leeds will certainly fancy their chances as they have won two out of their three game this season, while Lakewood are still searching for their first win.
Another Premier League side Douglas Hall have a home cup tie against League 2 side Leeside United at Moneygourney at 2.30pm, but Dave Butler’s Hall should have enough to go through to the next round.
Another tasty clash in the same competition is Micheal Kiernan’s Carrigaline United, who have 10 points from their opening four games, and they will welcome other Premier League side Fermoy to Ballea Park at 2.30pm and after their recent 3-0 victory against Avondale last Sunday, they will surely fancy their chances to advance to the next round of the competition.
