Cork County Board confirm club ticket allocations for All-Ireland hurling final

Cork County Board have confirmed the ticket allocations that the clubs in the county will receive for the All-Ireland SHC final against Tipperary at Croke Park on Sunday week, July 20.

Tickets are priced at €100 for stand seats, the same as 2024, while terrace tickets are up €5 from 2024 and are now €60. No concessions are available and it is not anticipated that there will be a second round of ticket offers, due to the demand.

Club amounts are based on county championship gradings. Senior hurling clubs will receive 20 stand tickets and 24 terrace, intermediate and premier junior 16 stand and 20 terrace, junior A ten stand and 18 terrace and junior B and junior C four stand and 16 terrace. In 2024, the senior figures were 26 stand and 16 terrace; intermediate premier junior 22 stand, 22 terrace; junior A 16 stand, terrace; and junior B/C ten stand, eight terrace. There was a second round last year, with extra terrace allocations of 14 senior, intermediate and premier junior ten and junior A, B and C six.

For last month’s Munster final at TUS Gaelic Grounds, football affiliations did not receive any stand tickets but the greater capacity of Croke Park has allowed football clubs to receive the same as an equivalent hurling outfit. County board delegates receive two tickets each, independent of their club's tally.

In addition, clubs with players on the Cork senior hurling panel are to receive ten terrace tickets each per player – last year, this was 12 stand tickets and eight terrace per player.

To take an example, premier senior hurling club Glen Rovers would get 20 stand tickets and 64 terrace as they have four players in Pat Ryan’s squad. Their football sister club St Nick’s will get 16 stand tickets and 20 terrace – meaning 120 tickets across the two clubs.

In 2024, the competing counties received a total of 59,212 for the All-Ireland finals – this figure was up from 57,449 for 2023. Cork County Board have stressed that those sending direct letters or emails seeking tickets are unable to be satisfied.

“Thank you for your application for All-Ireland hurling final tickets,” reads the standardised reply.

“Policy confines tickets to senior All-Ireland hurling and football medal holders, current senior, U20, minor inter-county players and backrooms for 2025, referees on the official 2025 county panel, current county committee delegates, current board officers and sponsors.

“Of course, the vast majority of tickets will be circulated though the clubs, so we suggest you try your local unit.” The county board is hosting a gala dinner at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh next Wednesday night, July 16 – but, while the event acts as a vital fundraiser for the team, the cost of attendance does not include match tickets, as was the case last year.

The four-course meal, which has a Heineken-sponsored drinks reception beforehand, will feature special guests providing pre All-Ireland final analysis.

The traditional post-match banquet will take place at the Clayton Hotel on Dublin’s Burlington Road, which has long been the venue of choice after All-Ireland finals featuring the Rebels.
