Consistent with her puck-outs and made good use of the ball, which helped keep Cork on track particularly when they were struggling in the first half.
Made some good tackles and used her strength well. Relatively quiet until added time, when she made an excellent hook to prevent a Galway goal shot.
Was excellent in defence, made a superb bat that led to a scoring opportunity and impressed throughout. She worked hard and forced several turnovers, and continued to lead at the back in the second period.
Some moments of positive defending but like Meabh Murphy in the other corner, focused on marking and did a good job on Galway’s Niamh Mallon in the second half.
Good movement down the wing ensured Cork almost always had a passing option on the right-hand side. Faded a little in the second half.
Worked hard and her strength was a huge asset particularly in the first period when Cork found themselves under a lot of pressure from the Tribeswomen. She surged out with the ball numerous times at the latter stages as Galway searched for a way back into the game.
Put in a crucial tackle on Carrie Dolan after three quarters of an hour to stop a potential goal. Hayes got on a lot of ball in the second half and her passing was impressive, particularly from frees in Cork’s half of the field.
Her work-rate shone through as it so often does, with Thompson winning a valuable free, picking up a great point from play and making an excellent pass to Amy O’Connor before she assisted Katrina Mackey for goal.
Worked tirelessly in the middle of the park and made a great hook in the first half.
Has continued to deliver over the last couple of years, and today was no different. A superb run preceded McCarthy’s second score, and anytime she got the ball her pace caused all sorts of problems. Finished with 0-3.
Worked hard but not a lot of ball came her way. Despite that, Keating still got one score and her passing all around was top-tier.
Relatively quiet throughout but worked hard off the ball, and pulled off a great score on the run while under a lot of pressure.
Star of last year’s final impressed again this time round, converted three frees, two she was fouled for, and most importantly played a huge role in the goal that separated the sides at the end. Her assist to Mackey was top-class.
Produced two good scores in the first half and found the free space to get herself in position to hit the back of the net after Amy O’Connor’s excellent assist, but had to leave the field five minutes later due to injury.
Worked incredibly hard and did well in the build-up. Her movement was great and Cahalane got two scores to go with it.
Scored an excellent point from a tight angle and added another crucial one late on.
Brought good energy from the bench.
