Liam Kelleher of Douglas will captain the Cork minor hurling panel following the confirmation of the squad for the upcoming championship campaign.

Along with Jack O'Brien and Mark O'Brien, Kelleher is one of three players who helped Douglas to reach last year's Rebel Óg Premier 1 U16HC final. Peter Barrett was part of the Midleton side that beat them in the decider and he is also selected on John Meyler's 36-player panel.

Goalkeeper Josh Goulding and Michael T Brosnan were part of the Glen Rovers side that won last year's Premier 1 MHC while Cormac Deane helped Killeagh to Premier 2 honours.

First up for Cork in the Electric Ireland Munster MHC is an away clash against Tipperary on Thursday, April 4 before they welcome Limerick to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh a week later. Their third match is away to Waterford on April 25 and their final round-robin assignment is at home to Clare on May 9.

The top two teams in the table after everybody has played each other will advance to the Munster final on May 16.

Meyler is assisted by selectors Seánie McGrath (Glen Rovers), Vincent Hurley (Courcey Rovers), Mick Mulcahy (Lisgoold), Pádraig O'Sullivan (Brian Dillons) and Peter Sykes (Ballyhooly).
