Pres were very impressive and it is either St Munchin’s or Bandon Grammar School in the last four.

There was an explosive start to this game with Castletroy being awarded a penalty from the kick-off and Cormac Devitt converted.

However, Pres' response was swift and decisive as Pres drove up the middle of the park from the restart and quick ball out to winger Jack Ryan saw him touch down in the corner for a 5-3 lead.

Further pressure from Pres was rewarded with a quick tap penalty resulting in Rory Cahill scoring.

Devitt made it 10-6 with a long range penalty but the remainder of the half belonged to Pres as they ran in four further tries before the interval.

Their third try came from Ryan after Harry Galvin Carty played him in.

A chip ahead by Ryan saw Dan Murphy touch down and he also converted.

Conor McLoughlin and Galvin Carty combined to send Ryan in for his hat-trick and Murphy converted.

A driving maul saw Ronan Twomey touch down for Pres sixth try and Murphy’s conversion made it 36-6 as the halftime whistle sounded.

Castletroy tried to make a game of it at the start of the second half with Martin Hourigan, Ben O’Connell, Rory O’Dwyer and Dylan Stokes being prominent.

Six minutes into the half Gearoid Coughlan outpaced the Castletroy defence to score their seventh try and Murphy converted.

Rian MacFarlane O’Shea gathered a loose ball and barged over for the winners' eighth try and Murphy added the extras.

The Mardyke side emptied their bench at this stage but were not able to add to their tally.
