DOUGLAS and St Michael's will meet in a Premier Senior Football qualifier to decide who finishes runners-up in Group 3 after a thrilling final round of matches in Cork over the weekend.
The city sides finished level on scoring difference and points tally so couldn't be separated after Douglas lost to St Finbarr's and Michael's defeated Mallow, who only needed a draw to progress in the circumstances.
Instead, Mallow head to a relegation decider with Carrigaline.
The Barrs are top seeds, while the quarter-final match-ups are Castlehaven-Ballincollig, Nemo-Clon and Duhallow against whoever emerges from St Michael's v Douglas.
Collig got through by beating rivals Éire Óg courtesy of goals from young guns Darragh O'Mahony and Liam O'Connell and big displays from Cian Dorgan and Harry Ahearne, while Clon went down to the Haven but survived by virtue of Valley Rovers' upset against Carbery Rangers.
It doesn't get more dramatic than progressing on , as opposed to scoring difference, but that's what gave Kanturk the edge over O'Donovan Rossa in the SAFC. Knocknagree pipped their Duhallow rivals Kanturk in injury time to secure their knockout place but Skibb fell short despite an impressive finish to the clash with Fermoy.
Dohneys and Newmarket are the top seeds and semi-finalists.
Fermoy were sent into a relegation playoff with Ilen Rovers.

Kilshanning and Castletownbere sealed semi-finals berths in the PIFC while Bantry, without Ruairí Deane, lost to Macroom but still made the quarter-finals.
Iveleary's reward for a Muskerry derby defeat of Naomh Abán is a meeting their another Mid Cork outfit, Cill na Martra, in the knockout stages.
Macroom will have to beat Na Piarsaigh to avoid the drop.
High-flying Aghabullogue followed up reaching the hurling semis by sealing a top-two place in the IAFC, along with Mitchelstown.
In Premier Junior, newly-promoted Kilmurry and St Finbarr's second team are the teams to beat, while Kinsale will take on St Michael's, with the loser returning to Junior A.
