Cork County Council and Fáilte Ireland have asked for feedback on a series of proposals to shape the visitor experience of Youghal.

A proposed Youghal Visitor Orientation Strategy saw more than 220 responses to an initial public consultation in April this year.

In response to feedback, a series of emerging proposals has now been developed, identifying opportunities to enhance the visitor experience in Youghal while strengthening links between attractions and highlighting the town’s rich heritage, coastal environment, and unique sense of place.

Another consultation is now running, and feedback will help refine and finalise the strategy before it is completed later this year.

County mayor Bernard Moynihan said the level of engagement during the first phase of consultation demonstrated the strong pride people have in Youghal.

People are invited to share their views through an online survey open until September 30.

Paper copies are available at Youghal Town Hall, which will host a public drop-in event today from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
