Mixed conditions in store for Cork, according to latest Met Éireann outlook

A mix of sunny spells and scattered showers will dominate today, with highs of 14C to 17C.

Long dry spells will continue into tonight, with temperatures reaching as low as 9C.

Tomorrow will generally be a dry day with a mix of cloud and some sunny spells.

However, thickening cloud will bring patches of drizzle to Atlantic counties. Highs of 14C to 17C are set for the day.

It will be wet and rather breezy early tomorrow night across Atlantic counties before clear spells and well-scattered showers following for the rest of the night.

Traffic 

The N28 has started to see congestion build early this morning between Shanbally and Carr's Hill.

In the City, Gaol Walk remains closed.

Outlook 

Thursday will see a fresh and breezy day with sunny spells and scattered showers.

They will be most frequent across the west and northwest, with parts of the southeast staying dry, with highs of 14C to 17C.

Friday then will be rather wet and breezy during the morning, with cloudy outbreaks of rain occurring widely.

It will then ease in the afternoon, but it will stay fairly cloudy with rain or drizzle for the rest of the day. Highest temperatures will be between 15C to 19C.

Current indications show that the weekend will then be breezy on Saturday with sunny spells and passing showers, with drier weather on Sunday.
