Man taken to CUH after serious road traffic collision in Waterford

A man aged in his late teens has been transferred to Cork University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries following a road traffic collision in Waterford.

The single vehicle collision occurred at Reisk, Dunhill, Tramore, Co Waterford at approximately 11:55pm last night.

“A passenger of the car (an adult male aged in his late teens) has been transferred to Cork University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

“A second passenger (an adult female aged in her late teens) was conveyed to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time,” a Garda spokesperson said.

No other injuries were reported at the time.

The road is currently closed for technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area of Reisk, Dunhill, Tramore Co Waterford between 11.20pm and 12:20am are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
