Cork photographs recognised at national competition

Three photographs taken in Cork have been recognised at the national Our Ireland, Our EU photography competition.

Organised by the Department of Public Expenditure, the competition invited members of the public to capture the impact of projects co-funded by the European Union and the government of Ireland.

Among the selected winning images were In Am (On Time) by Jessica Dale of Cork Kent Train Station; Interwoven Networks by Aoife Claffey of MTU Cork and When Robots Draw the Line by Dr Alan Magee of the NIMBUS research centre at MTU Cork.

The competition highlighted projects and initiatives supported through government of Ireland and EU co funded projects across Ireland, showcasing their impact on communities, public spaces, education, skills development and social inclusion.

The projects featured in the winning photos in Cork are funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and the European Regional Development Fund.
