Parts of Cork city’s southside could see overnight water supply disruptions on Tuesday, Uisce Éireann has warned.
The water utility company said mains repair works are scheduled to begin at 9pm on Tuesday night, June 16, running until 6am the following morning, Wednesday, June 17.
The works come less than a fortnight after new connection works caused widespread overnight disruptions across the local area.
Uisce Éireann warned that the works are likely to cause some disruption to local water supplies in the surrounding areas.
According to the company, the works may cause water supply disruptions to Maryborough Ridge, Maryborough Hill, Broadale, Mount Oval, Clarke’s Hill, Upper and Lower Kensington, Norwood Court, Coach Hill, Upper and Lower Belmont, Thornberry View, Lissadell, Maryborough Court, Rochestown Rise, Rochestown Upper, Passage West Upper, Upper Glenbrook, Upper Monkstown and surrounding areas in Co Cork.
A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of these works.
Uisce Éireann said it recommends that the public should allow three to four hours after the estimated restoration time for water supply to fully return.
To access updates on these works, the public is invited to visit the Uisce Éireann website, water.ie, and enter in the search bar the reference: COR00113783.
