Sentencing in Cork drugs case put back until July

The charges relate to a seizure of €90,000 worth of cocaine on November 3, 2024.

Sentencing of a man following a €90,000 drugs seizure has been adjourned until July 8.

Robert Higgins, of 57 Lower Pouladuff Road, Togher, Cork, faces sentencing for possession of cocaine, having it for sale or supply and possession of the drug for sale or supply when its street value exceeded €13,000 – which can carry a 10-year minimum sentence unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Judge Helen Boyle adjourned the sentencing until July because the matter could not be reached in the present sessions of Cork Circuit Criminal Court.

The charges brought against Mr Higgins by Detective Garda Emmet Long relate to a seizure of €90,000 worth of cocaine on November 3, 2024.
