This Thursday evening sees Gemma Hayes return to The White Horse in Ballincollig’s West Village to celebrate 25 years in music, and to perform her Mercury Prize-nominated 2002 debut album Night on My Side, for a special full-band show.
A singer, songwriter, and producer of rare subtlety, the Ballyporeen native has built an international reputation for crafting songs that blend emotional honesty with melodic beauty, moving effortlessly between folk, alt-rock and cinematic soundscapes.
Her music has featured widely across film and television, including her haunting version of Chris Isaak’s ‘Wicked Game’ for Pretty Little Liars and her contribution to the soundtrack of Roddy Doyle adaptation Greyhound of a Girl.
Whether appearing solo or with her band, Ms Hayes captivates audiences with the warmth, craft and emotional depth that have made her one of Ireland’s most respected and influential musicians. See whitehorse.ie.
