National singing group to visit Cork during choral festival

Ireland’s leading choral group is to perform in the North Cathedral as part of this year’s Cork International Choral Festival.
As part of its all-Ireland tour, Chamber Choir Ireland will perform ‘Servant of Servants, Patron of the Arts’ at the Cathedral of St Mary and St Anne, led by the choir’s recently appointed artistic director, Gabriel Crouch.
The performance will be part of Chamber Choir Ireland’s 30th Anniversary season. Founded in 1996 as Ireland’s national chamber choir, the ensemble has led the way in increasing the appreciation of choral music in Ireland, receiving critical acclaim for its national and international tours.
The concert is part of a nationwide tour beginning at Cork International Choral Festival, where the programme will also feature the winning piece in this year's Seán Ó Riada Composition Competition, Timothy Doyle's Points and Lines.
