The Hothouse Flowers announce Cork Opera House show for 2026

Tickets are now on sale for an eagerly anticipated gig by veteran Irish band Hothouse Flowers at the Cork Opera House on October 3.

Formed in 1985, Hothouse Flowers are known for their unique bland of traditional Irish music, soul, gospel and rock.

In 1986, U2’s Bono saw Hothouse Flowers performing on television and offered his support with the band’s single, “Love Don’t Work This Way” released on U2’s Mother Records label.

The Hothouse Flowers debut album People, which was released in 1988, reached No.1 in Ireland and No.2 in the UK.

Their 40 year long career is bookended by their most recent album Let’s Do This Thing.

Lats year saw Hothouse Flowers release a documentary Stick Around and Laugh a While, which followed the journey of the band, from busking on Dublin’s Grafton Street through to the present day.
