A community safety meeting in Upper Glanmire was held last week, and attended by local councillors Margaret McDonell, Joe Kavanagh, and Oliver Moran, as well as members of An Garda Síochána, Glanmire Area Community Association and Cork City Council.
Ms McDonnell said after the meeting: “The launch of a dedicated Policing Forum for Glanmire is a very welcome step. People here want to feel heard, want quicker responses to issues, and want a structured way to work with gardaí and the council.
“This forum gives Glanmire exactly that — a place where residents, community groups and agencies can come together with a shared focus on safety, prevention and partnership.
“Thanks to everyone who attended and contributed. As the only Cork City Council member living and working in Glanmire I’m looking forward to playing my part and making sure Glanmire’s voice is front and centre as this new forum takes shape.”

Mayfield Community Development Project is taking part in a new campaign called #ourflag.

We work with people in a non-discriminatory way and encourage everyone to reach their full potential in a safe, open, friendly and accessible environment.”
