Cork Lotto player lands €19k in 'stroke of good fortune'

A Lotto punter in County Cork secured a big wins this week when a modest wager reaped significant rewards thanks to their lucky Lotto numbers.

The anonymous winner struck their bet in a BOYLE Sports shop in the Rebel County, investing €5 in four numbers for Wednesday evening’s Lotto Plus 2 draw.

With the bet facing odds of 3,800/1 for all of the numbers to drop, the bonus ball wasn’t even needed as 2, 7, 21 and 23 all rolled out within the first six drawn.

The lucky run of numbers allowed the punter to return to the shop to collect a startling total of €19,005.

A spokesperson for BOYLE Sports said: “This big win couldn’t have come at a better time for our Cork customer so we send them huge congratulations on their stroke of good fortune. They were aiming high and it’s paid off handsomely so hopefully this Christmas will be one to remember.”
