Met Éireann have issued another status yellow rain warning for Cork for this Friday.

The warning is set to come into place on Friday, November 14 at 9am and will continue until Saturday, November 15 at 9am.

Heavy and persistent rain falling is expected to fall on saturated ground which will likely lead to spot flooding in some areas of Cork city and County.

Poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions are expected as a result.

Friday's status yellow warning also extends to Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.

A status yellow rain warning has also been issued for counties Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Louth and Meath, which will last from 12pm Friday to 4am Saturday.

Meanwhile, Dublin, Wexford and Wicklow have been issued with an orange rain alert.

Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution.
