Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH) will hold its annual service of remembrance tomorrow night, (Friday), at 7.30pm at the Sacred Heart Church on the Western Road in Cork.

The service is open to all parents, siblings and extended family members who have experienced the loss of a baby.

The service of remembrance provides a gentle and supportive space to reflect, remember and honour those who are no longer with us.

The evening will consist of music, readings, prayers and quiet moments for personal reflection.

Attendees at the service will have the opportunity to light a candle and inscribe a remembrance leaf, creating a shared tribute to their loved ones.

Designed as a multi-denominational gathering, the service welcomes everyone and aims to provide comfort through connection and community.

Hospital staff and members of the multidisciplinary bereavement care team will also be in attendance at the event to offer support and solidarity.

The service is an opportunity for families to come together, acknowledge their grief and find strength in shared remembrance.
