Family-run enterprise ASA Group has celebrated 40 years in business with an event in West Cork.
Founded by Aodh and Judith Bourke in Cork, the brand, which support clients in sustainable merchandise, direct marketing, and database management through its companies ASA Brands and ForWare, has grown from a small family-run enterprise into an international company, with operations in Cork, Dublin, and Belfast and partners around the world.
Today, the ASA Group is led by sisters Michelle Johnson, who is chief executive, and Caroline Bourke, chief operating officer. They took the helm in 2015 from their parents.
Ms Johnson said: “As we celebrate 40 years, we are proud of how far we’ve come, from our parents’ vision in 1984 to the international company we are today.
"The future is about scaling our impact further. Cork will always be home, but what excites us is that from Cork, Dublin, and Belfast, we can now deliver global campaigns, harness digital innovation, and continue building a business that will thrive for the next generation.”
Ms Bourke said: “Sustainability is no longer a ‘nice to have’, it’s a responsibility. At ASA Brands, we see it as our duty to help clients engage their audiences in ways that are impactful and environmentally conscious. From sourcing responsibly to developing digital-first solutions, we are committed to ensuring the work we do today leaves a positive legacy for tomorrow.”
The ASA Group is focused on expanding its digital-first brand engagement solutions, strengthening its sustainability credentials, and continuing to build long-term global partnerships.
Reflecting on the milestone, founders Aodh and Judith Bourke said: “ASA was always built on family values. To see our daughters lead with vision and determination, while bringing fresh ideas and a global outlook, is incredibly rewarding. They’ve honoured the legacy while shaping a strong future for the business.”
