Trigon Hotels recently honoured eight team members who have worked with the group for a combined 125 years.

Among those honoured for their long service was Human Resources Data Analyst Cattleya McCarthy, who has been with the company for 15 years.

Cattleya moved to Ireland from the Philippines and took a work placement in the Cork International Hotel in 2010.

She worked as an HR assistant before being promoted to HR and accounts assistant, and then Group HR Administrator for the hotel group.

She started night classes at MTU and completed a degree in HR, after which she became Trigon Hotel’s HR Data Analyst, a role she’s held for the past four years.

“I really enjoy my job and the people I work with. My progression from work placement to data analyst for the hotel group over the space of 15 years demonstrates the fantastic opportunities there are for people in the hospitality sector. Trigon’s policies around flexible working hours to suit family life have been invaluable to me, and I am very grateful for this support.”

Other team members honoured at the Long Service Awards include: Maurice Attikossie, five years; John Murray, 10 years; Javier Garcia, 20 years; Brian McAdoo, 25 years; Aileen O’Donoghue, 35 years; Mihira De Silva, 10 Years; Julie Daly, five years; and Cattleya McCarthy, 15 years service.

Kathleen Linehan, Strategic Director of Human Resources said: “These awards are very important to us at Trigon Hotels as they offer us a chance to officially recognise the commitment and dedication shown by team members.

“We are continuously trying to ensure that we are creating a positive working environment, and we have introduced a number of policies in recent years in response to the needs of our team members.

“Collaboration and team spirit are key to our hotel’s success and progression.”

Trigon Hotels includes The Metropole Hotel and The Cork International Hotel.
