Several road resurfacing and footpath upgrade projects have been completed across the city, Cork City Council has confirmed.

A spokesperson for the local authority said nine projects across the city, aimed at improving pedestrian and road safety, have been completed — including resurfacing, lining, crossing and beacon installations, and more.

Completed projects include road resurfacing and footpath upgrades at Clark’s Bridge, consisting of new paving, resurfaced roads, fresh lining, and the installation of new safety bollards.

Resurfacing works were also completed at Rathpeacon Rd, Scairt Rd, Shanakiel Rd, St Augustine St, Church Hill-Glanmire, Lios Cross, Monastery Rd, and the Lough Rd.

Works took place this week on the N28 Cork to Ringaskiddy road at Carr’s Hill at the Mount Oval slip, south of the Old Carrigaline Rd junction.
