A Cork city pizza takeaway has announced its closure due to rising costs of doing business and staffing difficulties.

Boxt Pizza at 38 Gillabbey St, The Lough, shared on social media: “After an incredible couple of years, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the doors of Boxt.

“Like so many small businesses, we faced challenges with rising costs, ongoing staffing struggles, and seasonality.

“Despite our best efforts, it simply became unsustainable to keep going.”

They thanked everyone who had supported them and also their “amazing staff”. They added that they are hoping to launch a new venture soon.
