The four-day charity cycle takes place from August 7th–10th, with cyclists covering 600km.

The 2025 Tour de Munster kicked off from Cork’s English Market yesterday for a four-day 600km journey around the province, before returning to the city on Sunday for a gruelling finish on St Patrick’s Hill.

The epic cycle across the six counties of Munster is now in its 25th year, all in support of raising crucial funds for the Munster branches of Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI).

Since its launch in 2001, Tour de Munster has raised over €5m for DSI, making a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of children and adults with Down syndrome across Munster.

Cycling legend Seán Kelly will once again join the tour of Munster’s cities, towns, and villages.

Paul Sheridan, who established Tour de Munster, said reaching 25 years is a huge milestone.

“Taking on the Tour de Munster requires real commitment, with months of training, fundraising, and preparing for four challenging days on the road,” he said.

“Every cent raised goes directly to the Munster branches of DSI, making a genuine impact where it’s needed most.”
