Cork pharma consultancy firm to create 75 new jobs

A Cork-based consulting firm has announced the expansion of its Leeside workforce with the creation of more than 70 new jobs, to be implemented by 2028.
Business Platforms, which has a base in Penrose Dock, announced on Monday that the company plans to double its workforce in Cork by adding a total of 75 new jobs.
The announcement comes as the company, which specialises in manufacturing execution systems (MES), serialisation, supply chain operations, and digital transformation for the pharmaceutical industry, has seen an increased demand for its services.
The new jobs, expected to be filled over the course of the next three years, will be primarily consulting and engineering roles.
Co-founded in 2019 by Paul Browne, Phillip Doyle, and Liam O’Riordan, Business Platforms supports more than 50% of the top 20 largest pharmaceutical firms worldwide.
Taoiseach, Micheál Martin, said that the creation of the new roles in Cork is a “testament to the strength” of the industry and expertise across the county.

Joe Lyons, who was recently appointed as general manager at Business Platforms as part of their planned expansion, said that the new roles will enable the company “to meet the evolving needs” of their clients.
