Cork band Wasp v Humans to play free Mallow Arts Festival gig

Wasps v Humans will perform a free gig at Kepplers Cellar Bar on July 25 as part of this year’s Mallow Arts Festival.

Punk-folk band Wasps vs Humans have been announced as part of the entertainment line-up for this year’s Mallow Arts Festival.

The band will perform a free gig at Kepplers Cellar Bar on July 25 as part of the festival, which is taking place from July 23 to July 27.

The indie duo will join other performers as part of the entertainment programme for this year’s edition of the festival, such as headliners Scullion, who will also perform on July 25; Bressie, performing July 26; and Sweep Down to the Sea, performing July 24.

Audiences can expect to hear an anarchic mix of drums, bodhrán, whistles, punk poetry, songs, and beats, as they perform from their latest album, Scratchcard Empires. The album, released in October of last year, features singles such as 20 million Andrew Tates, Price You Pay, and Ugly America.

The doors at Kepplers Cellar Bar will open from 9pm for the performance.
