A woman in her 60s has died following an incident on Cork's northside almost two weeks ago.
On Monday, June 23, gardaí confirmed that a woman in her 60s sustained serious injuries in a road traffic incident that occurred shortly before 12 noon, on Pophams Road in Farranree.
Emergency services and gardaí responded following reports that a woman had been struck by a parked car (SUV) that unexpectedly moved.
She was removed to Cork University Hospital.
The road was temporarily closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí also appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
A garda spokesperson has confirmed that the woman has since died.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "I can confirm a woman(60s) has passed away as a result of a road traffic incident, that occurred on Pophams Road, Farranree, Cork on Tuesday 23 June, 2025.
"Investigations ongoing."
