This summer marks two decades of Live at the Marquee in Cork, with a line-up of 28 shows set to rock Leeside.

Since its inception 20 years ago, Live at the Marquee has seen more than 1.7 million audience members come from far and wide to enjoy a taste of Cork’s entertainment scene.

In that first year, the event hosted just 12 shows, with Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys being the first artist to take centre stage.

This year, that figure has more than doubled in what organisers say is a record-breaking milestone for the venue. Aiken Promotions, the company behind Live at the Marquee, has thanked everyone who has been part of the story to date and all of those who are set to attend this year.

Over the next few weeks those taking to the Marquee stage include Picture This, The Coronas, Christy Moore, Joe Bonamassa, Dara Ó Briain, Tommy Tiernan, Roy Keane in conversation with Roddy Doyle, The Waterboys, Chris Kent, Dec Pierce, Olly Murs, Kingfishr, Amble, The Mary Wallopers, Cian Ducrot, D-Block Europe and Michael McIntyre.

From build-up to break-down, the venue’s team will serve around 2,500 meals to crew members, local staff, security, and artists throughout this year’s run.

This year Picture This will open the 2025 season when they take to the stage on June 25 and 26.

Christy Moore will also return to the venue for his 19th appearance, solidifying himself as a true cornerstone of the event.

Having performed at the venue for close to two decades consecutively, Moore has even written a song inspired by Live at the Marquee, creating a tribute to the event etched in melody.

This year’s line-up also features a special tribute concert to Rory Gallagher featuring legendary blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa, which will see thousands of attendees travelling to Cork from all over the world, including the UK, the US, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Hungary, Greece, Italy, and Kazakhstan.
