Garda enquiries ongoing after driver fails to remain at scene of Cork crash

Garda enquiries are ongoing after a driver failed to remain at the scene of a collision near Fermoy this morning.

Gardaí responded to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a car that occurred on the M8 southbound near Junction 14, Fermoy, at approximately 7.50am.

A Garda spokesperson said the driver “failed to remain at the scene” and that enquiries are ongoing.

TII Traffic had alerted motorists to the collision this morning and issued an update just after 11am stating the incident had been cleared.
