A woman in her 70s was taken to Cork University Hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

A woman has been hospitalised following a multi car collision in Midleton this afternoon.

The collision occurred on the N25 at Cahermone, and a woman in her 70s was taken to Cork University Hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

The road, which had been closed, has since reopened to traffic, and no other injuries have been reported.

A garda spokesperson told The Echo: “Gardaí and emergency services attended a road traffic collision on the N25 at Cahermone, Midleton Co. Cork, this afternoon, Monday 2nd June 2025.

“The collision involved a number of cars. One woman, aged in her 70s, was taken Cork university Hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life threatening at this time.

“No other injuries have been reported. The road has reopened.”
