Gardaí and emergency services attended the road traffic collision at approximately 8:30pm last night.

Investigations are ongoing after a woman in her 20s was hospitalised yesterday evening following a collision involving two buses in the city centre.

The woman, a passenger on one of the buses, was taken to Cork University Hospital (CUH) with injuries that were described by gardaí as not life threatening at around 8.30pm on Sunday.

A darda spokesperson told The Echo: “Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision involving two buses on Grand Parade in Cork city at approximately 8:30pm on Sunday, 25th May 2025.

“A passenger in one of the buses, a female in her 20s, was conveyed to Cork University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Enquiries are ongoing.”
