Met Éireann has issued a status yellow thunderstorm warning for County Cork this afternoon, with scattered thunderstorms expected.
The warning, which came into effect at 2:08pm today, will remain in place until 8pm tonight.
The forecaster has stated that the possible impacts of the weather warning include frequent lightning and spot flooding.

It will continue to be warm and sunny for most of this afternoon and evening, with temperatures in Cork forecasted to reach 19 degrees.
Mist and fog patches will form overnight in a light and variable breeze, with lowest temperatures of five to 11 degrees.
Tomorrow is forecasted to be dry, warm and sunny, with highest temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees.
