Sunday set to be driest day of Easter weekend in Cork

A rainy Easter weekend is predicted in Cork city by Met Éireann, but there will be some dry spells across Sunday and Monday.
A status yellow rainfall warning for Cork and Kerry ended late last night, after coming into effect at 11pm Thursday night.
The damage across Cork was limited, though the Fota road in Cobh was briefly closed due to a fallen tree, but has since reopened.
It will be mostly cloudy and wet today with outbreaks of rain and drizzle with the chance of spot flooding.

Dry spells between 6pm and 9pm are predicted, before light rainfall starts again later tonight. Temperatures are set to be between 10 and 11 degrees all day, with moderate to fresh east or northeast winds.
Tomorrow, Easter Sunday, is set to be dryer, with showers only predicted at 6am and 10pm, though it is set to remain dull and cloudy, and temperatures will stay between 10 and 11 degrees.
Light rain is predicted overnight on Sunday and into Monday morning, but the outlook is more positive during the day on Easter Monday, with spells of sunshine from 8am to noon, followed by more rain which should be heaviest around 4pm.
Met Éireann advises it will get dry again at around 7pm, before much colder weather sets in overnight – temperatures are expected to fall as low as 6 degrees, having gone as high as 13 during the day.
