Motorists warned to expect delays following collision on busy Cork road 

Motorists have been warned to expect delays this evening following a road traffic collision on the N40 South Ring Rd.

Update 4.50pm: The N40 South Ring Rd has now fully reopened following a collision earlier this afternoon. 

Gardaí earlier attended the scene of a three vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the N40 near Dunkettle Eastbound at approximately 3:30pm.

A garda spokesperson said earlier that no injuries had been reported. 

The road was reduced to one lane for a time but has now fully reopened. 

Earlier: Motorists have been warned to expect delays this afternoon following a road traffic collision on the N40 South Ring Rd.

The collision occurred eastbound between Junction 10 Mahon and Junction 11 Dunkettle.
