Post office in Cork village closed until April 14

The post office in Glounthane has closed temporarily until April 14.

Payments from the department of social protection due will be made available from Little Island post office for the duration of the closure.

A statement from An Post said: "For reasons outside of our control, Glounthane Post Office, will be closed from today April 3 until Monday April 14, re-opening at 9am on that morning.

"We have made arrangements for all department of social protection payments due at Glounthane Post Office during the closure period to be made available to claimants at Little Island Post Office just 2.2kms away.

"A customer notice with all relevant details has been placed at Glounthane post office.

"An Post apologises to our customers for this disruption."
