All About Cork: Neighbourhood entertained by ballad group Club Ceoil in Tory Top Library

Club Ceoil Ballyphehane Ballad Group entertained the people of the neighbourhood in the Tory Top Library to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge.

It was delightful to see a full room and a mixture of all ages from the community come together to enjoy a session of folk music.

The group was asked by senior librarian Deirbhile Dennehy to play a few ballads to mark the week that was in it.

It was lovely to see the audience sing along to the ballads and enjoy the moment.

The ballad group is made up of singers and an array of musicians playing guitar, banjo, bodhran, fiddle, and tin whistle.

Club Ceoil runs classes on a Monday night in Coláiste Éamann Rís and on a Tuesday evening in Presentation Secondary School, Ballyphehane.
