A player in County Cork has become the latest millionaire in Ireland after winning the top prize of €1,000,000 in the National Lottery Daily Million draw on Saturday night.
The National Lottery have now officially confirmed that last Saturday’s Daily Million winning ticket worth €1,000,000 was sold at Healy’s SuperValu in Dunmanway, Co Cork.
Shop owners, Andrew and Martina Healy, were thrilled to hear that one of their customers now has a ticket worth a life-changing amount.
“Believe it or not, we’ve had a couple of big wins in this store over the years, and this isn’t our first time selling a ticket worth €1,000,000! We were delighted to get the news after a busy weekend.
National Lottery spokesperson, Emma Monaghan added: “What an incredible week it's been for our Daily Million players! We are thrilled for our latest Lottery millionaire – the 9th of the year. The winner has already reached out to our Prize Claims team, and arrangements are underway for them to claim their fantastic prize. We can't wait to hear the amazing plans they have with their winnings! And no, this isn't an April Fools' joke, it's all very real!”
A spokesperson from the National Lottery Press Office confirmed that the Cork winner purchased a Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw.
The winning numbers for the Saturday March 29, 9pm Daily Million draw were: 4, 6, 8, 11, 14, 19 and the bonus was 16.
