A burglary at the Deep South pub in Cork city earlier this month saw a man being remanded in custody on charges until tomorrow, March 19.

Joe O’Sullivan, aged 38, was remanded in custody by Judge Áine Clancy until that date for DPP directions, on the application of Sergeant John Kelleher.

Mr O’Sullivan, of Cork Simon Community, faces charges stating that on March 7 at Deep South, Grand Parade, Cork, having entered that building, he committed a theft offence at the premises.

He faces a related charge of causing criminal damage to a glass window of the premises on that date.

The accused is to appear at Cork District Court by video link from prison tomorrow.
