A man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman in her 80s who died at Cork University Hospital (CUH) less than two days after gardaí went to her home in Carrigaline having received reports of a dispute.
Stella Nnadi, who was originally from Nigeria, died in Cork University Hospital on Tuesday.
A man in his 30s was arrested in relation to her death following the incident.
In an update this morning, a garda spokesperson said the man has since been charged.
"The man, aged in his 30s arrested in relation to the death of a woman in her 80s following an incident at a residential property in Carrigaline, Co Cork on Sunday 23rd February, 2025 has been charged," the spokesperson said.
He is due to appear before Cork District Court later this morning.
Investigations, the garda spokesperson said, are ongoing.
