Two hospitalised following multi-vehicle collision on Cork’s N25
A man and a woman have been taken to CUH following the collision.
A man aged in his 80s and a woman aged in her 40s have been taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle collision in Cork.
The collision, involving two cars, occurred eastbound on the N25 near Cobh Cross shortly before 3pm.
The drivers of both vehicles, a male and a female, were conveyed to Cork University Hospital (CUH) for medical treatment.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána has said that their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.
The road has since reopened to traffic.
Enquiries are ongoing.
Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a multi-vehicle road traffic collision in Cork.
The incident, involving multiple vehicles, occurred eastbound on the N25 Cork to Waterford Rd near Junction 3 this afternoon.
Members of An Garda Síochána, Cobh Fire Brigade and Midleton Fire and Rescue are at the scene.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána has advised that the road is currently closed, with local diversions in place at Little Island.
It is understood that traffic is being reversed back towards Cork, with motorists encouraged to take alternative routes.
