It includes the provision of new pedestrian and cycle access points from the Marina Promenade to Marina Park and the Cork city to Passage West Greenway, and protection and enhancement of the trees and old stone walls. A new access road will serve the rowing clubs and Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Contractors Ward & Burke will continue to work on the adjoining Marina Park Phase 2 project into 2025.
