Bus transfers on some rail routes from Cork this weekend

THERE will be bus transfers on a number of major rail routes from Cork over the Easter weekend.

Irish Rail is advising customers to plan their journeys accordingly due to continuing resignalling and track-laying works as part of the Cork Area Commuter Rail programme.

A revised timetable will be in place across the weekend, and from Saturday April 4 to Easter Sunday April 5 inclusive, Cork commuter services on the Cork to Cobh/Midleton/Mallow lines will involve bus replacements, to a revised schedule.

BUS TRANSFERS

For both Saturday April 4 and Easter Sunday April 5, the Cork to Dublin Heuston and Cork to Tralee services will involve bus transfers between Cork and Mallow.

If planning to travel between Good Friday April 3 to Easter Monday April 6, customers are advised to check the Irish Rail website or app for revised timetables and train schedules.

Intercity travel can also be booked on the journey planner or app. A spokesperson for Irish Rail said that this is strongly advised, particularly at busiest times and during the times of major works.
