Multiple award-winning photographer Pádraig Ó Flannabhra will launch his new book, featuring never before seen images of former Pogues frontman Shane McGowan, in Cork next week
The launch event will take place on Monday, December 16 from 6pm to 7.30pm at Cork City Library.
Shane McGowan, who was best known for his time with the Celtic punk band, passed away from pneumonia in November of last year, aged 65.

The event will feature a special video presentation to music, refreshments and an appearance from the Lord Mayor of Cork, councillor Dan Boyle. For the launch, the book will be priced at €35 for a singular edition, and €60 for two books bought together.
The event is hosted in support of the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, with a special nod to the children of the Gaza Strip.
