The badly damaged car was stopped by gardaí in Midleton on Monday night.

Gardaí on patrol in Midleton on Monday night came upon a badly damaged car being driven through the town - with one front tyre missing.

"Yes," read a read a post on the An Garda Síochána Cork Facebook page. 

"It was this extensively damaged and without its right front tyre." 

After the car was stopped by gardaí, the driver was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving.
