Bafta-award-winning Cork actress Siobhán McSweeney will illuminate the Tree of Remembrance at Marymount Hospice.

Ms McSweeney, who recently received the University College Cork (UCC) alumni achievement award, will join Marymount Hospice to turn on the lights of the tree as part of this year’s Light Up A Life event.

The event will take place on Sunday, December 1, and those in attendance are invited to celebrate the lives of people who touched their lives, while enjoying live music and mince pies.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to support Marymount by purchasing Christmas cards and the new 2025 Marymount Calendar.

Throughout the year, Marymount provides expert specialist palliative care and care to older people always demonstrating kindness to patients and their families, offering dignity, comfort, and a sense of peace.
