Comedian Dara Ó Briain will make his return to the Live at the Marquee stage in June, Aiken Promotions has confirmed.

Comedian Dara Ó Briain will make his return to the Live at the Marquee stage in June, Aiken Promotions has confirmed.

The Wicklow native started his career in television as a children’s presenter on RTÉ whilst performing his first stand-up gigs on the Irish comedy circuit, after studying at University College Dublin where he read mathematical physics.

Ó Briain came to prominence as host of the topical panel show Don’t Feed the Gondolas.

On TV he is also known for hosting programmes such as Mock The Week, Robot Wars, Dara and Ed’s Great Big Adventure, Dara Ó Briain’s Science Club, and the documentary Dara Ó Briain Meets Stephen Hawking, on BBC Television, as well as Channel 4’s Taskmaster.

Tickets for Dara Ó Briain Live at the Marquee Cork go on sale this Monday, November 25 at 9am from Ticketmaster.ie.

Other acts already lined up for next year’s Live at the Marquee series include Christy Moore, The Coronas, Olly Murs, Tommy Tiernan, Dec Pierce, The Waterboys and Joe Bonamassa playing Rory Gallagher.
