The event, hosted by Cork County Council, will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Little Island.

With 500 students in person and 33 schools joining via live stream, the event is expected to reach an audience of 3,500 transition-year students.

Teen Talk, a national award-winning event, provides a platform for students to engage with important topics, such as resilience, mental-health awareness, and maintaining a positive mindset.

Mayor of the County of Cork Joe Carroll said: “Teen Talk is about engaging with teenagers and acknowledging the challenges they face, especially in today’s world.

“Our aim is to offer reassurance and diverse perspectives, allowing students to gain new insights and leave with renewed optimism and motivation.”

Speakers will include RTÉ sports journalist Marie Crowe, who will MC, and Olympian Phil Healy.
