Hundreds of people have gathered to sample the delights of Cork's beloved Lennox's chipper for one of the final opening days.
The much beloved chipper is set to close this coming Sunday. It opened today for the first time since they announced they were closing.
Queues have developed all around the Bandon Road eatery down as far as Noonan's Road.
There was shock in Cork earlier this week at the news that one of the city's most famous businesses is closing.

After more than 70 years trading, Jackie Lennox's chipper on the Bandon Road is to close its doors for the final time next Sunday.
Owners Frances and Brian Lennox said that it was "with a heavy heart" that they announced the news.
"This may seem strange to make this decision when we are at our busiest, but time has creeped up on us and we are unable to cope with the burden of our success," they said on Monday evening.
"From humble beginnings above a cobbler’s shop on the northside of the city, Eileen and John opened their present shop on Bandon Road.
"With the help of soccer legend and John’s teammate David Noonan and Eileen's father Con O’ Callaghan and her brother Sean (both GAA servants) the business became a huge success."

The owners thanked their local suppliers and paid tribute to staff at the chip shop, "many of whom have been part of our family for many generations".
"To our loyal customers thank you so much you have been a delight to serve and will be part of us forever," they said.
"Please remember us fondly and we hope that we have made in a small way a contribution to the culture of Cork."
