The Cork Business Association (CBA) is set to hold its inaugural Safe and Clean event next week.
Earlier this year, the association established a working group with business owners in the city as a means to lobby and develop initiatives and measures to ensure the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in Cork city.
The inaugural event, sponsored by Cork City Council, will take place at the Clayton Hotel Cork City on Tuesday, October 1.
It aims to address common challenges facing urban areas, identify effective measures businesses can take to tackle certain security and crime issues, and introduce exciting, new CBA-led initiatives aimed at enhancing the city’s vibrancy and safety.
The voluntary business organisation will also launch its newly developed Safe and Clean Strategy during the event.
Cork Business Association president Aaron Mansworth said: “This is an excellent opportunity to meet committee members, key stakeholders who can make a difference, and fellow local business owners.
“Together, we will discuss concerns, exchange ideas, and work towards creating a more welcoming environment for everyone in Cork city.”
Featured guest speakers at the event will include senior executive engineer with the cleansing team at Cork City Council Tony O’Sullivan, Inspector James Hallahan with An Garda Síochána, and area manager of Lodge Security Services Jamie Furey.
CBA members and non-members are invited to attend.
